The Senior Stewards Circle of Our Lady of Solace-St Dominic Parish will celebrate its first anniversary in October of this year.
Within 5 weeks of launch, the group hosted the very first event in the newly-refurbished Our Lady of Solace Hall - a pre-Thanksgiving Dinner. The packed hall, spirited line dancing demonstrations, talent show, raffles, ample and diverse cuisine, including a carving station, are still being talked about by both parishes!
Other events include a pilgrimage to the Don Bosco Marian Shrine at Stony Point on Divine Mercy Sunday, providing the format, entertainment and other celebratory initiatives for Year for Priests, and, of course, contributions to the churches' improvement funds.
This has been a busy first year, and all adults wishing to "serve, pray and play together" are warmly invited to join this energetic and progressive group. Plans are already underway for our second year of service, prayer and play!
The Stewards look forward to welcoming new members, and to continuing their mission, under the patronage of St Anne and Saint Joachim, and with the blessing and assistance of, Fr. Robert Badillo, M.Id., Pastor.
